Overview[]
The Shadow is undoubtedly the most enigmatic Kindred in Kingsmouth, surrounded by such high levels of occultation that it is difficult even to remember a conversation with him (or her) after it's finished. She (or he) is the Mekhet Priscus, but due to the unique difficulties she (or he) suffers, does not sit as the Mekhet representative on the Ruling Council - a position that is instead held by Aikiko.
Personality[]
She (or he) communicates primarily by notes, with any agreements put into writing and signed. Rather than signing with a name, The Shadow signs with a bloody thumbprint. Even those who can successfully recall what he (or she) said in a conversation cannot usually remember the tone or timbre of his (or her) voice, or what he (or she) looked like - and those who claim they can remember do not agree with one another on the details.

- Actually a horrible monster. Enjoys torturing and murdering children.
- The Shadow is responsible for Sam's house arrest by making sure the bread crumbs lead to Sam. The elimination of such an annoying rival is almost too sweet a temptation, it seems...

- You can contact The Shadow by marking the front door of your Haven with a smeared handprint in black ink. The Shadow will find you.
- The Shadow's been known to help people out, without the involvement of any prestation (that they can remember) and without any apparent ulterior motive.
- And yet, when he accused James Adams to have broken the First Tradition, he denied everything and was kept honest with Auspex and Dominate. So maybe the Shadow -does- have a personal agenda.
- The Shadow is an urban legend, and doesn't really exist. There are half a dozen Kindred who play the role as necessary, relying on The Familiar Stranger and subtle uses of Dominate to maintain the ruse.
