The Hollow[]

The Hollow is so called because it lies in a low area between three hills: Central Hill on the south, and two lesser rises known as Providence Hill and Blake's Hill. Blake's Creek bisects The Hollow, carrying run-off water from the Head down to the sea. It is reasonably accessible, and the lamp-lit streets are wide and well-maintained, keeping the neighborhood safe.
The Hollow is a residential neighborhood, primarily middle class but with a few nicer homes. Most of Kingsport's smaller shop owners and merchants live here. People here have a fair amount of solidarity and respect for the law. The populace here is well-informed and tends to be perceptive.
Central Hill[]

Central Hill was once an upscale area, and there are still stately old homes which would be lovely if renovated. Alas, the inhabitants rarely have sufficient finances to afford that, and most are crumbling and decrepit. The neighborhood holds together largely by pride.
A lack of local points of interest other than the hospital, and sidewalks steep enough to be stairways make Central Hill of dubious accessibility despite the well-maintained roads. The lighting is good, however, and the police are quick to respond to the rare incident here. The hospital offers prodigious informational resources and is closely monitored by staff.
Sagecroft[]

Some of Kingsport's oldest money lives in Sagecroft, and correspondingly many of its finest homes. Victorian-style mansions with bay windows, eve-brackets, and patterned roof-slates are typical, some of them with walled grounds, topiary gardens and orchards. Those who live in this wealthy, law-abiding community are envied by many. The residents keep up with the news, and there are several schools here. People pay attention to their surroundings, attentive to the quality of their community and happy to talk about what's going on with others.
Sagecroft is easily reached by bus or car, the streets wide, well-maintained and charmingly tree-lined. Residences often have high walls, automated gates, and the best and most modern security systems. Police respond quickly to the rare incident.
